Today’s Dose of Conspiracy Theory

We’re never going to achieve global equality. You can buy as many pairs of Toms as you want, text-donate to every third world country in existence, send as many bags of seeds and rice as possible overseas, but not much is going to change as long as the global superpowers (the western world) don’t want it to. At some point I realized that power is gained by power being taken, and the reason we are so powerful as a nation is because we systematically decolonized others and took advantage of their resources, directly when we could get away with it, and indirectly when the local masses weren’t paying attention. We are who we are not only because we are hardworking, but because we work hard to make sure we are not overtaken. It’s the same way the class system often works. We’ve been eating our dinner off the backs of the poor for decades. And many of us haven’t even realized it.
